a mobile puzzle RPG game where players can collect heroes and build a mighty team by playing a unique tile-tracing puzzle.

Overview
Five souls for kakao is a mobile puzzle RPG game where players can collect diverse heroes to assemble a mighty team by conquering various dungeons worldwide. All heroes have various special abilities, so players should set up the strategy for all different types of enemies. To win the battle, players should play a unique tile-tracing puzzle. And players must wisely trace an uninterrupted line across tiles of the same color. Players also can build a clan and participate in the clan war to win special rewards.

Summary of Responsibilities
• I created high-fidelity UI elements to make players engaged in the game.
• I collaborated with UI designer to provide players with intuitive layouts that make complex systems understandable.

1.System Overview
My workflow as a UI artist usually begins with outlining the game system overview, enabling me to understand the game's structure and collaborate with my team on starting points to build up initial UI mockups.
2. Create Mockups in Powerpoint/Figma/XD
The next step involves creating mockups in various software. Back in 2013, Figma wasn't widely used in South Korea's gaming industry, so I often used PowerPoint for mockups. Below is an example of a mockup, reworked in Figma in 2023. Having mockups allows for efficient team discussions and quick UI modifications.
